Today the FBI announced that Víctor Chourio, 46, has been a fugitive since 2006 and his story will be exposed next Saturday, “America’s Most Wanted: Eight Seconds of Shame.”
Authorities believe that Chourio could be in the southern part of Florida, that he has returned to Venezuela, or has fled to Canada. They are offering a reward of $15,000 to anyone who can provide information leading to his arrest.
The website for “America´s Most Wanted: Eight Seconds of Fame” indicates that the man allegedly purchased child pornography from internet pages that were not registered in the United States.
The international investigation that the authorities launched found around 100 suspects, “but they (the agents), said that Víctor Chourio was one of the worst.”
“We want this subject. I can´t say what we found in his computer but believe me, Chourio is very sick,” said José Cabado, police detective of Miami-Dade county.
The subject is divorced, has one daughter, and when he was detained the first time had a security alarm business.
The police first accused him of 28 counts of downloading child pornography from the internet but after forensic investigation of his laptop and hard drive, discovered sufficient evidence to bring 80 charges of possession of child pornography.
Chourio´s mother obtained money from a second mortgage to pay the bail.
“Chourio escaped two days after his mother posted bail, leaving her to pay the remainder of the debt.”
